May 11-15 Newsletter
Mustang Families,
As we move into the second week of May, KES is buzzing with focus and energy. Students are continuing to
engage deeply in learning as end-of-year activities get underway. We are proud of their perseverance and
growth, and we appreciate your continued support at home.
Regular attendance remains essential, even as we approach the end of the school year. Each instructional
day continues to build on learning, strengthen skills, and prepare students for a confident transition to the
next grade. Consistent attendance helps students maintain routines and finish the year feeling
accomplished and prepared. Thank you for prioritizing daily attendance and partnering with us to ensure
every student ends the year strong.
We also want to emphasize how important parent voices are at Kaiserslautern Elementary School. Our
School Advisory Committee (SAC) is currently seeking parent input to help build the agenda for School
Year 2026-2027. Your ideas, questions, and priorities matter, and your feedback helps us make decisions
that best support our students and families. Please take a moment to share your input by completing the
form at the link provided at the end of the newsletter or under “Family Involvement” on the school
webpage. We truly value your partnership and participation.
Looking ahead, the coming weeks will include important activities, end-of-year events, and opportunities
for students to demonstrate what they have learned. Please be sure to review upcoming dates and
communications so you don’t miss key information. Thank you for your partnership and for being an
essential part of our school community as we finish the year strong.
Warm Regards,
Mr. Andrew Short, Principal
Dr. Brandi Peden, Assistant Principal
